Final Day at Vh1 Supersonic 2015, CANDOLIM, GOA, 30th December 2015:
Time flies when you’re having a ball of a time. Vh1 Supersonic 2015 had just begun and the final day, day 4 is already upon us. With last night’s beats still thumping fresh in the hearts of the fans, they were gearing up for the biggest party of 2015 – the final day at Vh1 Supersonic 2015. And why wouldn’t they be? Day 4 of the event was going to pack in quiet a punch which was evident from the afternoon line up itself. When the likes of Quistek, Nawed Khan, Macattack VS Joel, Raghav Holla, Rinton and others took to the stage, one could sense that today was going to go down in history as one of the coolest beach parties ever!
The afternoon began with partygoers assembling on the sands of Candolim, to relive the euphoria of dance music one more time. Keeping in line with the laid-back vibe of Goa and the mounting afternoon temperatures, most female fans opted for interesting halters, bikini tops, hot pants, bralets and tube tops to beat the heat, while some went a little more conservative with see-through cover-ups and maxi skirts and dresses.
The boys, however, seemed to have a standard festival dress code which combined neon coloured vests coupled with shorts and caps accessorized with glasses to keep out the sun. However what truly stood out where fashion was concerned, were elaborate hairstyles by girls who sported everything from headgears in the form of turbans to flower crowns and opted for up-dos consisting of intricate plaiting. The colours that ruled the beach were of course, neons which went very well with the colourful attitude of Vh1 Supersonic 2015.
Grooving to the music all through the afternoon, the fans eagerly awaited the big bang evening performances. With names such as Yotto, Lost Stories, Albin Myers, Nervo, Ayah Marar, Marc Romboy VS Stephan Bodzin, Grum and Netsky + MC Script set to play in the evening, the excitement was palpable. However, one name clearly stood out when it came to elevated levels of excitement concerning an artists – and that’s none other than the key headliner for the day – Axwell. The Swedish superstar of dance music who was once a part of the massively popular Swedish House Mafia is definitely one of the most awaited acts for the entire season this year.
Die-hard fan of Axwell, Naina, who has come to the festival all the way from Delhi, said, “I’ve been following Axwell since he was a part of Swedish House Mafia. So when Vh1 Supersonic announced their artist line up and I saw Axwell’s name on it, I knew where I was going to spend my New Year’s holiday and booked my tickets right away. I’m really looking forward to him performing some of his hits such as ‘In my mind’, ‘I found you’ and ‘I am’. Although, my absolute favourite is, ‘Center of the Universe’. It’s going to be a crazy crazy evening!”
As the fans gear up for the epic finale today, some of them are taking the time to explore the interesting engagements that have been planned for the entertainment of the fans by sponsor brands. Brands such as Jim Beam and Miller have set up their own lounges and various drinks counters to provide refreshments to partygoers. Jim Beam’s massive guitar installation at the venue, along with making a cute addition to the décor of the place has also proven to be the most popular meet up point for fans to regroup after exploring various stages. Miller’s life size beer float selfie booth is also a big hit with the fans.
Tic Tac, another brand on board, has created fun games for fans to participate in and the stakes are high as winners get upgraded to a VIP pass providing them access to exclusive lounges at the venue. Hungama Digital’s glittering triangular walkway has truly become one the most popular spots for Instagram selfies thanks to its hipster chicness. While Pepsi has taken selfies a notch higher by helping fans create gifs out of their selfies at an exclusive booth.
However, the most talked about engagement on ground was the one by E-Zone who have set up a dome theatre for fans to enjoy an immersive naked eye 3D animation on a 270 degree screen. Along with that, they’ve also set up mobile phone charging stations to keep those selfies taking thingamajigs powered throughout the festival.
With so much to do and so much to still look forward to in the final few hours of the festival, it’s the last chance for those who are not yet at the festival to get that final ticket to watch some of the biggest and the coolest names from the world of dance music to groove to. If you’re not here yet, get on that Vh1 Supersonic shuttle now and get ready to party with a bang at Candolim now!
Shout out to all the party mongers! If you’re not already here…make sure you get here…ASAP!
