“Puncham Bazaar”- An exclusive Lifestyle and Fashion show organized by Puncham a socio- charitable women’s organization headed by Mrs. Rani Poddar. The legendary exhibition has been continuing for more than three decades now. This exhibition cum sale’s primarily focus lies in making all sorts of household items under one roof for women. The one day event aims to making women feel beautiful inside and out. The exhibition to showcase trend setting designers clothing, accessories, footwear, jewellery and much more by designers from different cities- All under one roof. “Puncham Bazaar” has spread its wings not just nationally but also internationally including – Hong Kong, Dubai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and many more offers the best of items in affordable prices.The exhibition organized by a woman, to a woman and for a woman “Puncham Bazaar” has had a dozen of big wigs visit the exhibition every year.
Spearheading “PUNCHAM BAZAAR”
Founded in the year 1980, “Puncham”, a socio – charitable women’s organization is the brain child of Rani Poddar, who has been at the forefront of social initiatives and charitable activities throughout her life. In its tenure of 30 years, “Puncham” has been instrumental in building nearly 11 cold drinking water fountains in Mumbai, besides helping the Indian Cancer Society and the Association for the Blind.
In 2009, the Times of India group recognized and acknowledged Rani Poddar for her outstanding social contribution by conferring the “Angel of the City” award. She also received the prestigious “Udaan” award as a woman of substance at the hands of Ashok Chavan, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Today, after having brought in some heavy changes in the social thread of the society, no prizes for guessing who tops the list for his philanthropic gestures. The man who has been a silent doer and a game changer for social atrocities prevailing in the society is Industrialist and Philanthropist Aneel Murarka.
