Couturier & Bridal Specialist Amy Billimoria, a prestigious ceremony by Young Environmentalists Programme Trust, was conferred upon the Women’s Achiever Awards. The award was an honor to the humongous contribution by the designer towards the society & environment through EcoFashion.
Amy Billimoria is a name synonymous with the one having made many proactive community changes. This celebration honoured women from all walks of life!
Specializing in couture & bridal fashion & known in the fashion circuit for her Classy & ornate collection, Amy has contributed lot towards global warming over looking fashion wastage, saving colors & fabrics with her ever gorgeous wearable designs, she talks about her healthy fashion, “ReUse, Reduce, Recycle has always been the core of my designing forte. It’s been 15 long years ever since I have been showcasing my collection & the theme always has been to spread awareness on EcoFashion.”
Elated on receiving the Women’s Achievers Awards, Amy Billimoria who looked chic in her black ensemble exclaims, “These young environmentalists are doing a fantastic job & this award is a matter of pride for me that will motivate me furthermore to work towards the community. I am overwhelmed to be present here. “
Emphasizing on EcoFashion, the designer explains, “I use old stuff, embroideries, Old Saris Borders & try to create unusually new & in style clothing so as to help save a lot of wastage. Transferring old traditional lehenga embroidery, re-creating old fabrics with new embroideries, I am doing every bit to curb the textile wastage.”
