Founder of SFL, Raj Kundra and CEO, Daniel Issac appointed at prestigious positions by World MMA Federation
After being a successful entrepreneur and launching a book, Raj Kundra has added another feather in his cap,on the night of SFL 32-33.
Raj Kundra has been welcomed and nominated on the Board of Directors for the World Mixed Martial Arts Federation (WMMAF) while, Daniel Issac, CEO, Super Fight League, has taken the position of Vice President of Asia department of World Mixed Martial Arts Federation. They were felicitated by a trophy for this honour by World MMA Federation President Andrei Chistov(Ukraine), General Secretary of WMMAF, Evgenia Borshevska (Ukraine).
Super Fight League, is the first organisation in India to promote Mixed Martial Arts. The show is aired on ESPN Star Sports.
As the chair person of SFL, Raj Kundra was ecstatic at receiving this honour, “It is a very proud moment for me and our SFL family. It feels triumphant to be bestowed by this great respect and recognition. Nevertheless, I hope India will continue this encouragement it has provided to this form of art and we are all set to make this amazing sport bigger and bigger. “
Issac was equally thrilled, he said, “It feels like the beginning of a new journey, of transitions. SFL however is consistent in our hearts. Mixed Martial Arts should be embraced and recognised even more. I feel honoured to have this opportunity”.
The night did not just end with two surprises for the SFL team but also two dignitaries from world MMA federation stunned mixed martial art fans by announcing India as the host of the MMA championship next year. We will be seeing some crazy MMA action in Mumbai as the host city for the country.
Hats off to yet another sport make an impactful entry into the country.
