Come September and the city takes on an air of festivity with the arrivalof Ganesh Chaturthi. This year High Street Phoenix is championing the cause of environmenta conservation by enabling the average Mumbaikar with the skill to make their own eco-friendly Ganpati idol as part of the brand’s popular monthly property “Talent Tuesday”. So this 3rd September head straight to High Street Phoenix to attend a workshop on how to make your own eco-friendly Ganpati, absolutely free of cost, taught by professional idol maker Devanshi Damani.
Haven’t we all tried our luck at sewing up those lovely dresses or testing our skills at the DIY crafts? Well! Why not apply this talent to your favorite festival this year and add some eco-friendly thoughts into the way we celebrate it? Artist Devanshi Damani would make this

About Devanshi Damani:
Devanshi Damani has done her textile designing diploma from Nirmala Niketan. Around 18 yrs back she started her journey with coaching a bunch of 6-7 years olds from the neighborhood in drawing skills. Subsequently she also started preparing students for government approved ‘Elementary’ and ‘Intermediate’ exams. She had since trained and coached numerous students starting from the age of 2 years up to 60 years in various forms and techniques of art and craft. She has also mentored IB students for their research based art projects.
In September 2010, Devanshi founded the art hobby studio under the banner of “Colour Crates- The Hobby Art Studio at Kemps Corner. At the studio Devanshi helps kids as well as elders to explore, try and imbibe different art forms like sketching, charcoal painting, mosaic, oil painting, Clay modeling, fabric painting, origami etc. through courses and workshops.
She specializes in conducting interesting workshops in Birthday parties, corporate events and college festivals. The Kalaghoda Festival 2013 had her conducting two workshops on The Effects of Global warming one with Mosaic and the other with the reusing of rusted Iron Nails to create a form of art.
Her latest Mosaic workshop was at the Xavier’s Malhar festival.
