Sajid Wajid pays Tribute to their father at the Prayer Meet !

11 August 2013 : Music Composers Sajid Wajid pay a special tribute to their father Late Mr. Sharafat Ali Khan at the 40th day prayer meet held in Mumbai suburb. On this occasion the duo prepared a special AV of their father which showcased his journey of struggle to stardom from Saharanpur to Mumbai.

The condolence meet was attended by family members along with Bollywood personalities like Jackie  Shroff,

 David Dhavan,  Varun Dhavan,

 Bappi Lahiri, Udit Narayan,

Anu Malik, Anees Bazmi,

 Prabhudeva ,

Sunidhi Chauhan and many more.

Mr.Sharafat Ali a renowned music arranger was warmly remembered for his unforgettable work in Namak Halal and other films. Anu Malik also shared his experience of working with the Legendary in his first film.

Lastly the elder son Sajid who was honoured with a Turban in the  ‘Pagdi Ceremony’ which now gives him the responsibility of the family said, ” Today, whatever we are we owe it to our father and his high thinking. He will always be with us in our prayers.”
