The original superstar,Rajesh Khanna, was seen in all his glory at the recently held Apsara Awards2012 in Mumbai recently. Dressed in his trademark white starched kurta-pyjamawith a maroon waistcoat, Rajesh regaled the audiences with some of hislegendary dialogues of the 70s and 80s hits. “Main derr se aata nahi hun lekin kya karu,der ho jaati hai. Isliye maafi ka haqdar hu, agar phir bhi kisine na maaf kiyaho toh main yahi kehna chahta hu ‘Humkomaafi dedo saahib’” was the dialogue that received maximum applause fromthe audience. As he was being felicitated by Ramesh Sippy, President of theGuild, Rajesh found it ironic that it was Ramesh’s father, GP Sippy that gavehim his first break with Andaaz, and whom he fondly referred to as his‘ann-daata’ that set him off on his journey from being an actor to a star andultimately a superstar.
