92.7 BIG FM, Chennai’s No. 1 Melody station and the winner of the Golden Mikes Broadcaster of the Year Award, announced that the station topped the list of winners at the Excellence in Radio Awards 2012 with a record number of 7 trophies across various categories. What made the victory sweeter was and their Radio Jockey Balaji took home 2 awards himself, thus adding more feathers to the cap of the channel.

Balaji won the Awards for the categories RJ of the Year (Tamil) and Best Programme Broadcast after 11am (Tamil) for his hilarious ‘Take it Easy with Balaji’ show which airs every Monday to Saturday from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Speaking on the occasion, RJ Balaji, 92.7 BIG FM, said: “It is an amazing feeling to get your dream job and an even better feeling to be nationally recognized for it.
