India’s No1 Radio Network and Broadcaster of the Year at the Golden Mikes, 92.7 BIG FM will rejuvenate its listeners with diverse and vivid flavors of the Marathi Culture on the historic occasion of Maharashtra Day under the unique campaign “Mumbai Manao Life Banao” that celebrates the various facets of Mumbai’s passion including food, music, television, festivals and not to forget films. As part of the celebrations for Maharashtra Day, 92.7 BIG FM’s RJ Ankit will host a special Marathon show from 9am to 7pm on May 1, 2012 where listeners can tune in to listen to their favorite Marathi tracks like – Jiv Rangala, Vitthala – Zenda, Maharashtra Gaurav geet, Mala Jau Dya Na Ghari and many more.
The show will also discuss Marathi food, culture, tradition, arts, movies, music and entertainment. Listeners will also get to hear bytes of Marathi celebs like Isha Koppikar, Sudesh Bhosle, Sonali Kulkarni, Sachin Pilagaonkar, Vaishali Samant, Amruta Khanvilkar and many more who will share their pride in being an integral part of this state which has given them all so much and also on how they have being giving back to the society through their work.
As a prelude to the Maharashtra Day celebrations, a special breakfast show was hosted by RJ Ankit from ‘Girgaon Katta’ in Borivali on 27th April. He was joined in by renowned stalwarts from Marathi entertainment like Nitin Desai, Sonali Kulkarni & Kaushal Inamdar. While Sonali & Kaushal shared interesting insights and trivia about their upcoming movie ‘Ajintha’ and Nitin Desai spoke about his work and they were all unanimous in praise when it came to discussing what Maharashtra meant for them.
