Theme song to create awareness for educating children in the City

 92.7 BIG FM, Chennai’s No. 1 melody station and winner of the Golden Mikes Broadcaster of the Year award, today released the theme song for the Raindropss’ ‘Educate a Child’ project at the 92.7 BIG FM studios. India’s much-loved music station has always been socially conscious, and in continuation towards this effort will support Raindropss’ educate a child project.

92.7 BIG FM has always been a station which has made available its platform to support worthy causes & projects. All its brand initiatives have been associated with spreading awareness among the public like the BIG Green Ganesha Campaign recently where they promoted the cause of using recycled paper to make Ganesha idols. Other socially relevant messages are also regularly broadcast on the station in Chennai and other parts of the country as well.

Raindroppss is a youth based team from Chennai which concentrates on delivering social awareness messages to the public in the form of short films and theme songs through entertainment and media. This was in perfect sync with the social ideals that 92. 7 BIG FM stood for.

 The theme song was released jointly by actor Aadhi of Kochadaiyaan fame and playback singer A.R. Raihanah, who is also the brand ambassador of Raindropss. 92.7 BIG FM, Raindropss and Vellamal International School hope to create awareness for the project through this endeavour.

Mr. Girinand scored the music for the theme song and the lyrics are written by Niranjan Bharathi. Mrs Raihanah, sister of Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, sang the theme song along with other vocalists such as Srinivas, Priya Hemesh, VV Prasanna, MLR Karthikeyan, Saindhavi, Nikhil Mathews, Suchith, Vandana, Sakthi and Malavika Manoj who were all present.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kiran Thangarajan, Cluster Head (Tamil Nadu), 92.7 BIG FM, said: “We at 92.7 BIG FM are honoured to be associated with Raindropss who have whole heartedly launched various projects to create awareness among the public in an innovative fashion through the use of entertainment and media. Their current undertaking which is to educate children of our city is a great effort being made as it will give children the opportunity to become independent and carve a future for themselves.”
