4TH EDITION OF ‘ARTIST ALOUD MUSIC AWARDS POWERED BY HUNGAMA’ CONCLUDES ON A HIGH NOTE
The digital musical extravaganza honoured independent music artists in 12 categories
Music icons came together to support the independent music artists and present awards on India’s only digital awards for, ‘Artist Aloud Music Awards 2014 powered by Hungama’. This was the only awards presentation that took place completely over a digital platform making it truly unique and the first of its kind. Bollywood Actor & Singer Priyanka Chopra also extended her support for the awards and independent music artists. She presented the award for Best Single (Jury). Along with Priyanka Chopra, the other celebrity presenters were music icons like Pankaj Udhas, Himesh Reshammiya, Salim Merchant, Sulaiman Merchant, Kailash Kher, Shaan, Leslie Lewis, Sona Mahapatra, Shankar Mahadevan, Abhijeet & RJ Malishka, who came together to support the independent music artists.
The format was such that the final presentation ceremony started at 10.00am and every hour one award category and the respective winner was announced by a celebrity presenter. This was further complimented by having every winner (immediately after knowing he/she has won the award) taking a selfie video and expressing their reactions. The selfie video was shared and posted on Artist Aloud’s social and digital media platforms.

This year’s public voting phase received an astounding digital reach from music fans across the globe. Taking on social media to engage fans and encouraging them to vote for their favourite artists, the overwhelming response from thousands of music lovers created a storm on social media. The digital reach across various social networking sites crossed 50 million. The Artist Aloud Music Awards featured in the Top 10 trends on Twitter in India – 8 times and received over 65,000 tweets. The towering acknowledgement from fans and the music industry has been encouraging with a large number of votes for the talented singers & musicians’ nominated coming from India as well as other countries.
This year, television partner 9xO, India’s leading English music channel and radio partner 93.5 Red FM have also extend their support in amplifying the awards. And in the digital space is the online media partner RadioAndMusic.com along with Actfaqs as online promotional partner and Giftxoxo as the gratification partner.
