It is noteworthy that both domestic and foreign filmmakers highly appreciated the Closing Ceremony and the festival in whole. Mitu Kumar, the director of Banwara Mann said that she is truly honoured and winning an award in prestigious Jaipur International Film Festival is nothing less than winning an Oscar!
During the 5 days of the festival, the screening of all the 178 nominated films was done on a successful basis. The successful organization of ‘The Merchant’ was sufficient enough to render a new energy to all the filmmakers and the members of organizing committee. During the 5 days of the festival, 2 workshops and 3 seminars were also conducted. These workshops and seminars helped an immense numbers of participants with valuable lessons and knowledge.
Next year, the festival will be organized on a very grand scale as JIFF will celebrate the 100 successful years of Indian cinema.
